Canada鈥檚 Gov. Gen. Julie Payette visited the University of 91探花鈥檚 neuroArm lab to acquire more knowledge about the surgery robotics work of Dr. Garnette Sutherland, professor of neurosurgery with the Cumming School of Medicine

The Governor General鈥檚 visit highlighted research and innovation within the university鈥檚 New Earth-Space Technologies research theme and include a tour of the project neuroArm Research Space
Dr. Sutherland demonstrates the work of the Symbis to Gov. Gen. Julie Payette. The Symbis is a robotic arm that is controlled in an adjacent room. Having no personnel in the room allows for more screening without interrupting surgery.
